The government of Kerala has decided to organise a grand civic reception to honour Sanju Samson following his remarkable performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The event is scheduled to take place at Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, where state leaders and sports officials will attend the ceremony to recognise the cricketer’s achievement.
Samson played a crucial role in India’s World Cup campaign and was named Player of the Tournament after delivering several match-winning performances during the knockout stages. His contributions were instrumental in helping the Indian team secure the championship title.
The reception will be inaugurated by Pinarayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, along with senior government officials and sports representatives.
