Recently, she approached the Thampanoor Police Station in Thiruvananthapuram along with her boyfriend, Farman Khan. She told the police that her father was trying to forcibly take her back to her hometown and arrange a marriage for her. Monalisa stated that she did not want to return with him and instead wished to stay with her boyfriend.
Police officials verified that Monalisa is 18 years old, meaning she is legally an adult and can make her own decisions about where to live and whom to marry. Since there was no evidence of physical abuse and she clearly stated her choice, the police did not register a case and allowed her to leave with her boyfriend.
Reports also said that the couple planned to get married soon in Kerala. Monalisa had been in the state for a film shoot, which reportedly helped her connect with her boyfriend. The incident has attracted significant public attention due to her sudden rise to fame during the Kumbh Mela.
